Molasses Doughnuts
Molasses Doughnuts

Ingredients:
- ¾ cup sugar
- 3 tbsp soft butter
- ¾ cup milk
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup Fancy Molasses
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- ½ tsp cinnamon

- Cream sugar and butter together. Add milk, eggs and Fancy Molasses. Mix well. In a separate bowl, mix and sift remaining ingredients. Add to liquid mixture and mix thoroughly. Refrigerate for 1½ hours, then turn out on a slightly floured board and roll to ½" thickness. Cut with doughnut cutter.
- Fry in deep hot fat at 375°F until golden brown. Sprinkle with sugar.
